Your & My Story (plus ies)

The same departments of NCTU and NTHU both have a communication of sports. This kind of communication is named Small Meichu, like NTCU and NTHU play Meichu games, but only in one department. Our department at NCTU is called Department of Biotechnology, play Department of Biology at NTHU. We held on the Small Meichu games from Mar. 8 to 9. There were seven kinds of sports to be competed, including table tennis, tennis, volley ball, basketball, softball, badminton and dodgeball for fun.
           I attended at table tennis and tennis games, and play single in table tennis game but double in tennis match. In the first day morning, I came to the tennis court and done tune-up before single game started. I was the umpire during the fist and third match(men and women’s singles), but played the second match(double).
      My partner, Liao-cat and I were in condition soon, we took the lead in the early match by breaking their team’s serve games twice. After 3-0 lead, it was my turn to serve. It was a little nervous to get behind by 30-40, but I calmed down right away and served 3 big serve straightly which they can directly return back to get 4^th game.
      They missed a break point chance to make them demoralized and lost next served game soon. Leading by 5-0, we were still as cool as a cucumber, and concentrated on the ball. Even though they get three break points again, we did not be fluctuated. In the opposite, we got 5 points to save this game and won the match by 6-0, a perfect result.
           Finally, our team got men’s single and double win, but lost in women’s single. NCTU upset NTHU in tennis by 2-1 totally. Actually NCTU DBT(Department of Biotechnology) only won tennis and lost all the other kinds of sport method.
           After tennis winning, I lost in table tennis match. While we won the men’s single and double but lost women’s single and double. NTCU and NTHU tied up by 2-2, and I was the crucial 5^th match. We tie by 1-1 in first two games. In the third game, I dramatically reversed and won this game after deuce about 4 times. Unfortunately I can hold another game anymore, the opponent of NTHU get follow two games to beat me. Totally, they won table tennis by 3-2.
           I was very disappointed, but I really did my best. This was the last time I joined Small Meichu, because Small Meichu was only for freshmen and sophomore. It was my wonderful memory.
